When riding a horse without a bridle, the rider and horse must both trust each other. The rider must be advanced enough to maneuver the horse with voice, seat, and legs without miscommunication, and the horse advanced enough that the rider knows that her cues won't be ignored or misread. This is a short video of one of our students performing a figure eight pattern without a bridle.
